Fred Michael "Mike" “Buddy” Turner, 60, husband of Faye Randolph Turner, died Friday, April 17, 2015 at Carolinas Hospital System of Marion. He was called Mike by most and he was called Buddy by some of his grandchildren.
Mike was born September 10, 1954 in Pell City, Al., a son of Peggy Staples Turner and the late Thurston Turner.
He was a retired boilermaker and a US Air Force veteran. Surviving Mike in addition to his wife of the home are: his Mother: Peggy Staples Turner of Pell City, Al.; his Children: Matt Turner of Peoria, Il., Michelle Turner of Hartford, CT., John Ethridge of Marion, Terri (Chris) Pomeroy of Garner, N.C. and Angie (Stewart) McIntyre of Marion; his Grandchildren: Daniel Troast, Tiffany Bonvillian, Jessica Sturm, Craig Sturm, Wesley Ethridge, Stormy Ethridge, Ashley Pomeroy and Chris Pomeroy, Jr.; and a Brother: Terry Turner of Pell City, Al.
Mike was predeceased by a sister, Nina Turner.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 23, at Florence National Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
