Bruce D. Gadzinski, age 62, of 9807 Hillcrest Road, Whitelaw, passed away Wednesday morning, January 18, 2012, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, following a courageous battle with heart disease.

Bruce was born on December 3, 1949, in Tacoma, WA, son of the late Hilary Gadzinski and Beverly (Gustafson) Ploeckelmann. He grew up in rural Manitowoc County and attended the Mishicot Public Schools. In the past, Bruce worked for various construction jobs in the area, owning and operating Northstar Trucking and Excavating. Bruce retired in 2000 due to health problems. On November 18, 1972, Bruce was married to Roseann Hochman at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. The couple lived in the town of Kossuth where they raised their family. He enjoyed NASCAR Racing, the Green Bay Packers and his show car. The most recent love of his life was his two grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville.

Survivors include his wife: Roseann Gadzinski, Whitelaw; two daughters and one son-in-law: Stacey (Matthew) Faust, Kiel and their two children: Connor and Courtney; Kristin Gadzinski, Manitowoc; his seven brothers and sisters: Paulette Tardiff, Forestville; Kathy (David) Behring, Manitowoc; Dennis (Tarry) Gadzinski, Two Rivers; Jolynn (Lee) Pauze, Manitowoc; Glenn Gadzinski, Green Bay; Alan (Tammi) Gadzinski, Two Rivers; Dawn (Jeff) Carlson, Wausau; his stepmother: Eunice Gadzinski, Manitowoc; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law include: Catherine Becker, Long Beach, CA; Mary Byrne, Ellenburg Deport, NY; Barbara Wilker, Two Rivers; Theresa (Russell) Braun, Cato; Chris Hochman, Reedsville. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends survive.

He was preceded in death by his father: Hilary Gadzinski; his mother and stepfather: Beverly (LaVerne) Ploeckelmann; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Anton (Rose) Hochman; four brothers-in-law: Larry Tardiff; Robert "Bob" Hochman; Ronald Becker; James Byrne.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Rev. Ronald Colombo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 12:00 noon.
