Ermus Cecil "E.C." Berry was the eldest son of John Henry Berry and Ruth Castleberry. His father died in 1905 when E.C. was eight years old. His mother then married John Henry Blomer.
E. C. served in the military during WWI and was discharged in 1922. He was on a military compound in Coblenz, Kreis Bautzen, Saxony, Germany, during the 1920 U. S. Census. He returned to Texas after his service and is in the Fort Worth City Directories until his death in 1927.
