Henry Lax, 80, of 831 N. Sixth St, Manitowoc, died ??? Saturday, at Holy Family Hospital, ?? where he had only been a patient a day.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. John Landowski will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Lax was born Oct. 14, 1877, in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Joseph and Mary Lax, and always resided in Manitowoc County. He married Annie Heinrichs June 7, 1904. His wife died April 17, 1954. Before his retirement four years ago, when he moved to Manitowoc, he farmed on Rt. 1, Manitowoc.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Everest Bast and Mrs. Ed Bauer of Manitowoc, Mrs. Victor
Bauer of Rt. 4, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Raymond Kaufman of Rt. 1, Manitowoc, a son, Clarence of Manitowoc; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Backhaus and Mrs. Mary Steder of Manitowoc, 13 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 7 p.m.
