Anna R. Leindecker, 94, of 817 Jackson Street, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, April 12, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Stamborski with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Leindecke, nee Anna Rose Zieka, was born September 19, 1890, at Fairfield, Iowa, daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Pespiciel Zieke. She married John J. Leindecker in 1913 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Antigo, Wisconsin. The couple moving to Manitowoc in 1929 to reside here since. He preceded her in death in January of 1942. Mrs. Leindecker was a member of St. Andrew Parish, a member of St. Theresa Society and a member of the Gold Star Mothers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Maurice and Beatrice Leindecker of Folsom, California and John and Louise Leindecker of Manitowoc; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Powers of Chicago and Mrs. Marcella Althen of Sheboygan; a brother, Francis Zieka and a sister, Mrs. Alice Lipke, both of Minnesota; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survived. She was preceded in death by a son, Eugene and a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Schnell.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday afternoon. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Father Stamborski, members of St. Theresa Society, relatives and friends.
