SHERMAN M. LORRIGAN

Sherman M. Lorrigan, 85, formerly of 3515 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc, a Shady Lane resident, died Tuesday afternoon, April 11, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 9:30 am Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Presiding at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Ronald Reimer and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Lorrigan was born September 30, 1903 in the Town of Franklin, Wisconsin, son of the late Daniel and Mary long Lorrigan. He married the former Elsie Wallander on November 15, 1941 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Reedsville, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1986. The couple owned and operated a farm in Maple Grove until moving to Reedsville and living there for many years. The couple then relocated to Manitowoc in the 1950’s. He was employed at Mirro Aluminum for many years until retiring in 1967.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Margaret) Rank of Two Rivers; four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Clara Wallander of Manitowoc, Mrs. Beatrice Wallander of Reedsville, Mrs. Marie Lorrigan of Maple Grove and Mrs. Anna Lorrigan of Michigan; a special niece, Alice E. Taddy of Maple Grove; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral home, 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday where a prayer service will be at 8 pm by Deacon William Klein.
