WALTER J. LUCHSINGER

Walter J. Luchsinger, 69, of 2910A Custer St., Manitowoc, died early
Monday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been a
patient there the last three weeks.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Jens Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, and 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc, the
Rev. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Luchsinger was born Aug. 13, 1895, at Milwaukee, son of the late
Friedelin and Anna Heindl Luchsinger. He married Blanche Dufeck,
July 3, 1917, at Whitelaw. They moved to Manitowoc in 1920 where he
was a painter most of his life.
During World War II he was employed at Manitowoc Shipyards. He
was a member of Painters’ Local 499.
Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Caroline) Hynek
of Two Rivers and Mrs. Ralph (Dorothy) Emond, Mrs. Earl (Blanche)
Korte and Mrs. Donald (Donna) Teteak of Manitowoc; four sons, Friedolin,
Walter Jr., Bernard and Gilbert of Manitowoc; 35 grandchildren and two
great grandchildren. Two grandchildren preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
