Pittsville — Ervin A. Peart, 62, city treasurer of Pittsville in 1943 and 1944, died at his home at 6:20 this morning of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Funeral arrangements were awaiting word from out-of-state relatives. The Pittsville Funeral home will have charge.
Mr. Peart was born July [sic] 16, 1884, at Pittsville and on August 24, 1911, married Bessie Margaret Hutchins. He graduated from Central State Teachers college in Stevens Point in 1907 and took the manual arts course at Stout Institute in 1911. From 1910 to 1942 he was a faculty member of La Crosse Central High school where he taught manual arts.
He retired from the teaching profession due to ill health. Mr. Peart became ill at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leonard Brockman, at Pittsville Thursday afternoon.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Peart is survived by five children, Miss Lorraine Peart and Mrs. Brockman of Pittsville, Raynor of La Crosse, Leland of Milwaukee, and Howard of La Crescent, Minn. There are two brothers, Stanley of Carauthers, Cal., and Elbridge of Madera, Cal.; one sister, Mrs. Eva Lake of Whittier, Cal., and 13 grandchildren.
