Samuel L. Martell, 68, of 1318 S. 19th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient one week.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Very Rev. Msgr. Alfred Schneider will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Martell was born Oct. 17, 1901, at Jacksonport, Wis., son of the late Dona and Anna Desjardin Martell. He married Cecelia Wachtel Nov. 25, 1924, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, and the couple located at Manitowoc. He was employed 18 years by Mirro Aluminum Co. and 25 years by Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc., retiring in 1967. He was a member of Holy Name Society and Boilermakers Local No. 443.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Harlan of Menomonee Falls, Wis., and Larry, of Manitowoc; four sisters, Mrs. Michael Glaub and Mrs. Frank Raffelt of Sturgeon Bay, Mrs. Fred Duprey of Appleton and Mrs. Fred Foth of Rockford, Ill.; two brothers, George of Sturgeon Bay and Victor of Milwaukee, and 10 grandchildren.
A granddaughter and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday where at 7:30 p.m. wake services will be conducted.
