Mrs. Cecelia F. Martell, 81, of 3107 Peto St., Manitowoc, died early Monday morning, June 2, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore Hendricks will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Martell, nee Cecelia Frances Wachtel, was born March 16, 1899, at Two Rivers, daughter of the late Henry and Mary Kabat Wachtel. She was married to Samuel Martell Nov. 25, 1925, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The couple moved to Manitowoc after their marriage. Mr. Martell preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1969. Mrs. Martell had been employed at Sears and retired from Schuette Brothers where she had been employed as a salesperson. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, St. Anne Society of the parish and Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Janet of Manitowoc, and Harland and Betty of Apache Junction, Ariz.; two brothers, Clement and Cyril Wachtel of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Irene LaFave of Two Rivers, and Mrs. Angeline Evard of Manitowoc; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. by members of St. Anne Society, relatives and friends.

Miss Cecelia Frances Wachtel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wachtel, 2502 Adams St., and Lawrence Martell, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Martell of Bay Shore Road, Door County, took the marriage vows binding them for better or for worse at St. Luke's Church Tuesday morning, Rev. C. V. Hugo performed the ceremony in the presence of many relatives and friends.
The bride looked beautiful attired in a dress of white georgette and tulle veil with bandeau of pearls, carrying a bouquet of Ophelia roses and sweet peas. The bridesmaid, Irene Wachtel, wore a dress of peach colored georgette crepe and carried a bouquet of roses and carnations. Miss Catherine Wachtel was flower girl. The groom was attended by Arthur LaFave and Leo Wachtel. Thirty guests were entertained at a breakfast at the home of the bride's parents following the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Martell left Tuesday evening on a wedding trip to Chicago. They will make their home at 2502 Adams Street. Mr. Martell is employed at Aluminum Goods Plant 2. The bride is a young lady of fine womanly qualities. Both have many friends with whom he Reporter joins in congratulations and best wishes.
