Albert M. Meyer, age 94, a former Manitowoc resident, died Monday, February 15, 1993, at his residence in San Pedro, Calif.
Funeral Services will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 19, 1993, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at the St. Andre Catholic Church. Rev. James J. Stamborski will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born June 16, 1898 in St. Nazianz, son of the late Mathias and Katherine Wagner Meyer. He married the former Helen A. Weber on June 24, 1935 at the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The couple moved to Whittier, Calif., in 1973 and later to San Pedro in 1989. He had been employed in the Manitowoc area as a carpenter and cabinet maker for the majority of his working life. Mr. Meyer was a charter member of the St. Andrew Congregation and served on its building committee.
Surivors include his wife, Helen Weber Meyer, San Pedro, Calif.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Eugene A. and Nell Meyer, San Pedro, Calif., Philip J. and Barbara Meyer, Greensboro, N.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Kay and Clinton D. Wilde, Encinitas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials would be appreciated to the San Pedro Peninsula Home Care and Hospice, 1386B West 7th Street, in San Pedro, Calif. 90732.
