Mrs. Joseph F. Miller, 59, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc county, died Sunday afternoon at her home, 714 S. 27th street, after a lingering illness.
The former Elizabeth Heinzen, Mrs. Miller was born in Manitowoc Rapids on May 9, 1885. After her marriage to Mr. Miller on Nov. 9, 1908, the couple settled on a farm at Manitowoc Rapids, residing there until two years ago when they moved to this city.
Besides the husband, five children survive, namely, Mrs. Edwin Brandl, Orman, Mrs. Clarence Reindl, Manitowoc Rapids; Arnold, city; Wilfred, and Joseph Jr., both of Silver Lake. Sixteen grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the Christian Mothers Altar society of St. Paul’s church and the CMA society and the Catholic Knights of the Silver Lake congregation.
The local society will pray the rosary for its departed member at 7:30 o’clock Tuesday evening at the Pfeffer funeral home where the body is lying in state. The funeral will be Wednesday morning, 9:45 from the funeral home, and 10 o’clock at St. Paul’s Catholic church, with the Rev. Martin Jaekels officiating. Interment will be in Calvary cemetery.
