Esther F. Mix, age 92, of 1122 South 15th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, April 9, 1998, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 1998, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Carl Meulemans, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born April 3, 1906, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Steffes Boeder. Esther was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1923. On July 3, 1929, she married Harry A. Mix at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death May 3, 1970.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lola Mix, Oak Park, Ill., and Thomas and Judy Mix, Green Bay; one daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Clifford McCoy, Brookfield, Wis.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Olive and Ervin Wadzinski, Green Bay; one daughter-in-law, Germain Mix, Menominee falls, Wis.; one sister-in-law, Carole Boeder, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, William, in 1980; one brother, Clarence Boeder, and one sister, Arline Boeckman.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m., led by Rev. Carl Meulemans.
Memorials would be appreciated to St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
