Pfc. U.S. Army, Korean War-Pfc. Mrotek was killed in action by small arms fire on 9-5-1950 while serving as a Clerk-Typist with the 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Mrotek of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and is a 1948 graduate of the their School System.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Korean War Service Medal with One Service Star, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal.
