Mr. Alois L. (Blackie) Mrozinski, 81, a resident of St. Mary Home, Manitowoc, and formerly of 1334 S. 23rd Street, Mantiowoc, died Friday, January 5, 1990, at Holy Family Medical Center, Mantiowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mr. Mrozinski was born June 15, 1908, at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, son of the late Theodore and Mary Komorowski Mrozinski. He was educated in the Manitowoc school system. For 32 years Mr. Mrozinski owned and operated Blackie’s Bar in Manitowoc, retiring in 1970. He married Theresa Daron on September 26, 1933, at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Newton, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death on October 6, 1969. Mr. Mrozinski was a member of the Manitowoc Tavern League; Manitowoc Senior Citizen Center; St. Mary Catholic Church; and the churches Men’s Club.

Survivors include nine children, Shirlee (Robert) Kohl of Manitowoc, Robert (Donna) Mrozinski of Manitowoc, JoAnn (James) Hoffman of Manitowoc, Ralph (Diana) Mrozinski of Manitowoc, Kenneth (Barbara Mrozinski of Ventura, California, Jack Mrozinski of Manitowoc, Charlotte (Thomas) Basten St. of Manitowoc, Sandra (James) Larsen of Green Bay, and Mary Mrozinski of Manitowoc; a sister, Irene (Alvin) Leicht of Manitowoc; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. led by Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Memorials would be appreciated to the Manitowoc Unit of the American Cancer Society.
