Alfred Israel, son of Max Israel, deceased, who conducted the store in the bank building for many years, is reported among the dead in the casualty list of March 16 from France. The cause of his death was pneumonia. He was a graduate of Milwaukee Normal School and of the Two Rivers High School. He enlisted from Green Bay in the machine gun company, later the 121st artillery.
