Blanche Irene Denslinger Aaron, a good woman, 92 a resident of the Golden Living Center in Oil City and formerly of Venus died at 4:40 P.M. Tuesday April 21, 2015, at the Golden Living Center after a period of declining health.Born Oct. 31, 1922 in Fryburg, PA., she was the daughter of the late Aloysius & Bertha Sigel Denslinger.Blanche graduated from Shippenville High School.She was married in St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg by Msgr. Theobald to Edward F. Aaron on June 3, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 1988.A homemaker, Blanche had worked at Sylvania in St. Mary’s during World War II making radar tubes.She was a member of St. Stephen’s Church and had formerly belonged to St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg and enjoyed being a member of both churches’ rosary societies.Blanche enjoyed cooking, knitting, crocheting and was an avid reader and played bingo. She enjoyed sewing and was a very good seamstress, making many dresses for herself and her girls.
She enjoyed genealogy and a high point of her life was a trip she made to Freiburg, Germany where she visited the Denzlinger homestead.She enjoyed traveling and made several trips across the United States.
Later in life she enjoyed playing cards at the Oil City Senior Center.
Blanche is survived by four sons, Roger F. Aaron & his wife Susan of Franklin, Donald P. Aaron of Erie, Randall C. Aaron & his wife Donna of Rockland, Timothy M. Aaron & his wife Marie of East Amhurst, NY, three daughters, Patricia Jensen & her husband Jack of Seattle, WA, Barbara Rankin & her husband Paul of Erie, PA., Mary Beth Crawford of Nashville, TN.
She is also survived by 14 Grandchildren, Gregory Aaron, Rebecca Craven & her husband Matt, Melissa,& Joel Jensen; Lili and PJ Rankin; Joshua Crawford Jennifer Barlow & her husband Shannon, Matthew Crawford & his wife Whitney and Michael Crawford & his wife Shellie; Chelsey O’Neil & her husband Ryan , Brooke Blake & her husband Paul; Edward and Joseph Aaron, 9 Great Grandchildren
Caleb, Ethan, Allie, Zachary, Lily, Liam, Sydney and Caiden and Heidi.
She is survived by one sister, Helen Hoover of Fryburg, several nieces and nephews also survive
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis E. Aaron and a son-in-law Norman Crawford, four brothers, Donald, Paul, Walter and Carl Denslinger.
Friends will be received from 3-6 P.M. Friday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Saturday in St. Stephen’s Church with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, Presiding.
Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
