Francis Marion Pittsenbargar was a son of John Pittsenbargar, founder of King City, MO. He was married to Sarah Frances (Scoville) Pittsenbargar. They had seven children, three of whom survived to adulthood: John Andrew, Charley Albert, Gertrude Amelia. Francis served in the Union Army during the Civil War.
