Jerome J. Lawrence, 68, of 1719 S. 25th Street, Manitowoc, died early Friday morning, May 1, 1992, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Presiding the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum Manitowoc.
He was born March 12, 1924, in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late Louis and Mary Laddy Lawrence. He married the former Evelyn T. Zywick on October 10, 1942, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mr. Lawrence was employed as a Sales Representative for the Kem Manufacturing Company of Atlanta, Ga., for many years until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a member of Manitowoc Eagles Club Aeries No. 706.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn Lawrence of Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law., Reginald J. and Diane Lawrence of Greendale, Wis., Thomas J. Lawrence of LaCrosse; three daughters and a son-in-law, Diane T. Toltzmann of Manitowoc, Linda I. and Michael Soch of Manitowoc, Suzanne M. Lawrence at home; a sister and brother-in-law, Carol and John Vogel of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren, Scott, Michael and Jeffrey Lawrence, Brian, Kevin and Steven Toltzmann, Christopher and Lisa Soch; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Father Roman.
