Mrs. Clarence (Elizabeth) LeCoque, 76, formerly of 959 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died
Saturday morning, Oct. 13, at St. Mary Home, Manitowoc.
Family services were held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. The
Rev. Eugene Brochtrup officiated.
Mr. LeCoque, nee Elizabeth Gates, was born July 1, 1908, at Two Rivers, daughter of
the late Peter and Josephine Monka Gates. She was married to Clarence LeCoque
Nov. 24, 1925, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers,with the couple celebrating
their golden wedding anniversary in 1975. Mrs. LeCoque had been employed by One
Hour Martinizing prior to her retirement.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Manitowoc; a son, Kenneth LeCoque of
Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Judith and David Lockwood of Marshfield,
Wis.; a sister, Agnes Holenbeck of Kenosha and two grandchildren, Michelle and
Rebecca. She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, was in charge of funeral arrangements.

During her life she was a dry cleaner at a dry cleaning
establishment. She died as a resident at St. Mary's Home
for the Aged, probably of cardiac failure. She also suffered
from senile dimentia. Pfeffer Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. She is buried in Calvary Mausoleum of Manitowoc.

Miss Elizabeth Gates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gates of this city and Clarence
LeCoque of Green Bay, took the marriage vows at Sacred Heart church Tuesday
morning, Rev. Malkowski officiating. Many guests, both of this city and out of town
attended the event. Miss Lucille Finnel was bridesmaid while the groom was attended
by Peter Gates as best man. The ceremony was followed by a reception at Washington
Hall to two hundred fifty friends and relatives. Wedding breakfast, dinner and supper
were served at the bride's home to one hundred guests and the wedding festivities
ended with an enjoyable dance. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hollenbeck
of Kenosha, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Anton LeCoque of Green Bay, Mr. and Mrs. John
Finnel of Larabee, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Nelson of Manitowoc, Julia Fenne of Coleman
and Pearl LeCoque of Green Bay. Mr. and Mrs. LeCoque left on a honeymoon trip to
Milwaukee and other points south. they will make their home at 1020 Emmet Street where
they will be at home to friends after one week. The groom is employed as a dry cleaner.
