Loverl (Bud) Leschke, age 78, of 9802 Borgwardt Road, Newton, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
He was born Aug. 8, 1923, in the town of Liberty son of the late Joseph and Lillian Nennig Leschke. On Oct. 13, 1945, he married the former Elaine Levendusky at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Bud was a dairy farmer all of his life and was also owner/operator of Leschke’s Milk Hauling business. His hobbies included baseball, bowling and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Leschke, Newton; three sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald and Sue Leschke, Manitowoc; Jeffrey and Phyllis Leschke, Newton; Dean Leschke and his fiancée, Eileen Walsh, Newton; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Duane Schuler, St. Nazianz; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister: Margorie Berg, Fountain Valley, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Lorraine Meyer and her husband, Henry, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers-in-law: Geraldine and Donald Laures: Phyllis and Jerome Kruski; Andre Berg; a brother and sisters-in-law; Russel and Alice Leschke; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law: Alex and Carola Levendusky.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (TONIGHT) and Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
