Mrs. Beulah Boyd Smith, age 91 of Cana, Va., passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Northern Hospital of Surry County.
Mrs. Smith was born in Patrick County, Va. on October 3, 1923 to Roy and Rosa McMillian Boyd.
She was a school teacher for both Carroll County and Surry Counties.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Smith; sons and a daughter-in-law, Boyd and Judy Smith; Mitchell Smith and Spencer Smith; a granddaughter, Erica Smith; sisters and a brother-in-law, Icy Gwyn and Margie and Glenn Dawson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Smith; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nettie and Curtis Gwyn, Lena and Quintin Hiatt and by a brother, Posey Boyd.
A memorial service was held at Willow Hill Moravian Church by Rev. Chuck Harman and Rev. Gary Easter. Burial was in Willow Hill Moravian Graveyard.
