TRIBLE, Mr. Robert Waring, of West Point, Va., husband of Martha Jo Gregory Trible, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2015, with his family gathered around him in prayer. Bobby joined his parents, Margaret Muse and George Meredith Trible Jr. and his brother, George Meredith Trible III, who preceded him to heaven. Bobby was an amazing father and provider to Christopher Morgan Trible of Richmond, MaryMargaret Meredith Trible (Philip Pierce) and Gregory Waring Trible of West Point. Bobby was the younger brother of Paula Trible Moseley of Little Rock, Ark., and the dedicated uncle and cousin to many. Bobby was a generous friend and a great helper to everyone and he never met a stranger. His presence will be greatly missed by his many friends and family members. One dear friend reminisced by saying, "Bobby Trible was a great man, larger than life. He did it all; he really had it going on!" Bobby graduated from Lynchburg College and was a member of the Coast Guard during the Korean War. He was the 30-year owner and manager of Trible Oil Company and a member of Kiwanis, the Rotary, the Jaycees, the Chamber of Commerce and the West Point Christian Church. Bobby's passions were boating and hunting on the Mattaponi and Pamunkey Rivers, as well as golfing, watching boxing, car racing and horse racing. He also loved the beach, his many dogs and horses. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 25, at 2 p.m. at 301 1st St. in West Point, with a reception to follow. In case of rain, the service will be held at the West Point Christian Church with a reception following at St. John's Episcopal Church, both in West Point.
