Harold J. Weina, 60, of 1229 S. 31st st., Manitowoc, died Friday morning, Aug. 26, at St. Mary Hospital, Milwaukee.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial and entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc, with military graveside rites accorded by Amvets Post No. 99.
Mr. Weina as born Aug. 26, 1923, a Manitowoc, son of the late Bernard and Helen Stanzel Weina. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941 and attended the University of Michigan. He was a Veteran ___ in World War II as a corporal in the United States Amy serving overseas in Europe. He married Doris E. Knutson ,July 15, 1944, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He was a member of Machinists Local No. 516 and Amvets Post No. 99. He was presently employed at Manitowoc Engineering Co.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; a son, Brian at home; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen and Dale Klein Sr. of Waupaca, Wis., Sharon and Gary Green of Manitowoc, Susan Wein of Wisconsin Rapids and Diane and Dennis Jensen of Redgranite, Wis.; a brother and sister-in-law, Benjamin and Eleanor Weina of Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Ralph Augustine of Manitowoc and Mrs. Joann Jewuse of Kewaunee, Wis.; four grandchildren, Dale, Tina, Gordon, and Craig, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday where a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Amvets will meet Sunday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home to pay their respects.
