Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2005 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kellnersville. Monsignor Robert Gulig will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
Joe was born Aug. 31, 1917 in the town of Franklin, son of the late Joseph and Emma Cherney Wisner. On Nov. 30, 1939, he was married to the former Mildred C. Novak at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reedsville.
The couple farmed in the town of Franklin and Joe was a finish carpenter for Burger Boat Co. retiring in 1980. Joe and Millie moved to Kellnersville in 1989. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of the Wisconsin Czechs and the Kellnersville Senior Citizens. Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and all outdoor activities and also loved to play his accordion.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years: Mildred of Kellnersville; two nieces: Joyce (Ken) Hutterer of rural Manitowoc; Janice (Roger) Rezachek of Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Blanche (Jerome) Scanlan of Green Bay; Mary Tisler of Two Rivers; Betty Jane (Frank) Badzinski of Milwaukee; Ervin Novak of Milwaukee; other nieces and nephews, relatives and friends survive.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Clara Wagner and Ann Schaetz, five sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Kellnersville is serving the Wisner family.
