Willie Mack Anderson, 91, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday 3:00 PM at Carlisle Funeral Home with Don McKinney and Steve Kirkland officiating. Burial followed in Edgecombe Memorial Park.
Willie Mack was a WWII Veteran serving in the US Navy.

He was an active and dedicated member of Bethany Church of Christ and Tarboro Church of Christ. He was a member of Leggett Ruritan Club and Leggett Fire Department. He farmed his adult life and after retirement, he enjoyed gardening and taking care of his flowers. Not only was he a devoted and loving husband, father , grandfather and great grandfather, but a friend to all he met.

Mr. Anderson is survived by a loving family including
wife of 71 years Myrtle Barnes Anderson;
Daughters; Dianne Anderson Turner & husband Buddy of Grifton,
Rebecca Anderson Clay & husband Wayne of Tarboro,
Toni Anderson Joyner & special friend Earl Oldham of Louisburg;
Son; Willie Mack Anderson, Jr. & wife Irene of Canton;
Sister; Lois Joyner of Wilmington;
Brother; Philemon Anderson of Whitakers;
Grandchildren; Shirley Hendricks Bradberry & husband, Tommy of Texas, Eric Wayne Clay & wife Kelli of Crisp, Christy Clay Batts & husband Brian of Surf City,
Willie Mack Anderson, III & wife Melissa of Tarboro, Kimberly Turner Chambers & husband Joseph of Greenville, Jillian Joyner Joyner & husband Eric of Louisburg and Jason William Joyner of Louisburg
