Raymond L. Stain, 80, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 6, 2015. He was born on October 7, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Paul Leonard and Edna Ophelia Kersher. Raymond lived in Utah most of his life.

He married Wanda Jean Searle and they later divorced. He married Elva and they later divorced. He then married Shirlie Ray.

Raymond had many different jobs as a traveling salesman. He worked at Coy Auto and he enjoyed being a Real Estate Agent.

He loved being with his children and including them in his favorite activities, hunting, reloading his own ammo, four wheeling, traveling, and going to swap meets.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Shirlie Ray, Roy; children, Debbie (Stephen) Roberts, UT; Julie (Jerry) Peterson, UT; Gary (Tina) Stain, CA; Elaine (Dave) Betteridge, UT; Cindy (Kurt) McKinlay, UT; Ken (Tyrin) Crockett, UT; and Kiley (Erika) Crockett, UT; stepson, Ralph; 22 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and siblings Frank Coy, UT; Grace Coy Fernlund, UT; and Linda Lewis, UT. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Jane Cliford, Norman Stain, and Yonnie Dayton.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

We are grateful for the care hospice caregivers gave our father.
