ALLEN, Martha Louise Richardson, 81 of Montgomery, AL died at home Saturday, April 25, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Orlando Ashley Richardson and Martha Hargrove Richardson, her brothers Captain Orlando Ashley Richardson and James Hargrove Richardson, and her husband of 56 years Harry Elliott Allen, Jr. She is survived by her children, Elliott Allen (Conny), Ashley Allen, Caroline Allen Breshears (Mike); six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one nephew, Ben Kilgrow (Alice) and cousins. Martha graduated from Mary Baldwin College in 1955. A member of St. John's Episcopal Church for 60 years where she was an active member and leader of the Flower Guild for many years. She was a charter member and board member of Landmarks Foundation, a member of the Junior League of Montgomery, and served on the board of the Working Woman's Home. The Rev. Robert Wisnewski will officiate at the funeral service at St. John's Episcopal Church, 113 Madison Ave. Montgomery, AL 36104, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 visitation will be at 1:00pm in the parish house, service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John White, Mike Jarrell, Thomas Arrington, Dick Arrington, Tom Fitzpatrick, and Jimmy Shashy. The family would like to thank the wonderful women who helped take care of Mrs. Allen, Betty Jean Fuller, Dot Guice, Noella London, Rachael Webster, Karen Skinner and Linda Young. Donations may be made to St. John's Episcopal Church, Hospice of Montgomery, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
