ROME - Mrs. Ada L. Shaw, 82, died Aug, 9, 1950 in a Rome hospital. She had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Thayer in Greenway.
She was born May 18, 1869 in Boonville, a daughter of Christopher and Caroline Senn Gleasman. In 1894 she was married to Arthur Shaw in New York Mills. He died several years ago. She had lived in Churchville and Boonville before coming to Rome.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Thayer, a sister, Mrs. Laura Burke of Corning, three brothers, Elmer Gleasman of Boonville and Victor Gleasman and Herbert Gleasman of Ava; two grandchildren, Mrs. Floyd Kline and Harold Thayer Jr., both of Greenway and two great grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from the home of Mrs. Kline.
