She attended Shelby County rural schools and Harlan High School. She was baptized at Poplar Lutheran Church and confirmed in Ebenezer Lutheran Church. On Aug. 26, 1936 she married Arthur Clausen at Shenandoah, Iowa. They farmed in Audubon County most of their married life. They moved into Audubon in 1967. She was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and active in Ruth Circle, A.L.C.W.
Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband, Arthur, her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Clausen of Marcus, Iowa; and her son Dallas Clausen of Des Moines, Iowa; seven granddaughters, Teresa and Corrine Clausen of Des Moines and Sherri, Jill, Annette, Amy, and Peggy Clausen of Marcus, Iowa; two brothers, Grover Jensen of Topeka, Kansas and Lloyd Jensen of Harlan, Iowa, and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Douglas Kahl on Friday, Dec. 5, 1980 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Interment was in the Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery. The casket bearers were Alfred O. Christensen, Victor Madsen, Sr., Charles Miller, Mark Minger, Thomas Rugaard, and Edwin Wellendorf.
