A visitation will be held 9-10 a.m., Friday, May 1, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Weston; immediately followed by a 10 a.m. funeral mass.
Interment will be 2 p.m. at the Maple Hills Cemetery in Kansas City, Kan.
Mary was born August 5, 1941, to Howard and Elva Erma (Dunkle) Spencer. She spent most of her life in the Kansas City, Kan. area, until moving to Weston nine years ago.
Mary married James Ray Thebo, who preceded her in death.
She spent her working life as a LPN nurse for the home health care industry. Mary was an active member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and loved being a part of the Weston community. She also enjoyed quilting and was a member of several quilting clubs. Mary loved her house and enjoyed gardening and canning fresh vegetables. Mary was also an animal lover and was passionate about the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; and her husband, James.
Mary is survived by: two sons, Ron Thebo, of Kansas City, Kan., and Mike Thebo, of Eudora, Kan.; one daughter, Mary (Bernard W.) Bailey, of Rushville, Mo.; a twin brother, Edward (Naomi) Spencer, of Trenton, Mo.; brother, Bob Spencer, of Kansas City, Kan.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
