Born May 25, 1943, in Farmington Township, Olmsted County, to Ernest and Anna (Rott) Stoehr. Carolyn graduated from Elgin High School. She lived in Shakopee and was employed as a legal secretary for US Bank.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her mother, Anna Stoehr of Elgin; children, Doreen Ehler of Farmington and Daniel (Tanya) Ehler of Eden Prairie; grandchildren, Alyssa and Brooke Ehler, and Carson and Sidney Baldi; two brothers, Harlan (Marlene) Stoehr of Shoreview and Marvin (Beverly) Stoehr of Elgin; two sisters, Lois Neighbors of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Dorothy (John) Wood of Rochester. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Stoehr.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Potsdam, with the Rev. John Fuchs officiating. A private burial will be on Saturday at the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Schad & Zabel Funeral Home in Plainview, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
