Services for David C. Alexander, age 58 of Lufkin, Texas will be held at 1pm Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating.

Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

David was born June 12, 1956 and passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 in Louisiana.

David enjoyed watching Alabama football, the Hudson Hornets and Newton Eagles. He also enjoyed doing historical research of Angelina County and City of Lufkin. David was employed by Walmart.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Angelia Alexander of Huntsville, daughter, Kari Alexander of Bossier City, Louisiana, son, Joshua Alexander of Shreveport, Louisiana, mother, Juanita "Totsie" Alexander of Lufkin, sister and brother-in-law, Stacy and Larry Lucas of Diboll, Texas, brother, Kevin Alexander of Lufkin, special friends, Mike and Sandy Havard, numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends and his beloved dog, "Darlin".

David was preceded in death by his father, Clyde D. Alexander.

Memorial contributions may be made in David's memory to Angelina County Historical Society, 120 South Second Street, Lufkin, Texas 75901 or to the Humane Society of Angelina County, 1102 North John Redditt Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.

The family will receive friends from 11am until service time in the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel.

Services have been placed in the trust of Gipson Funeral Home.

I knew David when he lived and worked in Newton, Texas for Bob Latiolais. That was many years ago. Next time I hear of David, he is on FB. He entered so many pictures of Angelina and Newton County. His FB was always interesting, just like David. Rest in heavenly peace.
