Ronald L. Staudinger, age 68, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by the family that loved him on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at his residence.

Ron was born on April 1, 1947 in Manitowoc to the late Luallyn and Ann Kliment Staudinger. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. Ron enlisted with the United States Air Force in 1966 and was stationed in Minot, ND for 3 ½ years. After being honorably discharged, he returned to Manitowoc and was employed as a plumber for 39 years and retired from Local Union 400. On October 7, 1967, Ron married Nancy Swetlik in Manitowoc. Ron enjoyed teasing his grandchildren, cards, fishing, followed the Brewers and Packers, and most of all, spending time with his family at his cottage in Sturgeon Bay. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Survivors include Ron’s wife of 47 years: Nancy, two sons: Lane Staudinger and Brian (Nicole) Staudinger, all of Manitowoc; three wonderful grandchildren: Brett, McKenzie, and Cody; sister: Nancy (Rodney) Hibbard, Manitowoc; brother: Bernard (Connie) Staudinger, Manitowoc; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law to include: Qurin “Junior” (Janice) Swetlik, Allan (Susan) Swetlik, Dale (Lynn) Swetlik, Elaine (Leroy) Olson, Beatrice Antholz, Florence (Kenneth) Fredrick, Janice Wanek, and Sharon Swetlik; also many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ron was preceded in death by two nephews: Derek and JJ Hibbard; and two brothers-in-law: Leroy Swetlik and William Antholz.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall – 1114 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Ron’s name.

Ron’s family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Matthias Fuchs and the staff of Cardiology Associates.

William "Bud" Antholz (1932-2014)
