Funeral services for Mrs. Alvin Murdock, 79, of Millersburg, where held February 26, 1949, from the Millersburg Presbyterian church as Rev B J Holland officiated and interment was in the Millersburg cemetery by the Sherrard Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Ralph, Earl, and Gene McKay, Charles Dyer, Kenneth Marple and Warren Lang, all grandson. Mrs. Murdock died Thursday morning, February 24, 1949, in her home where she had been critically ill for some time. She was born in Duncan township, April 26, 1869 as Susan, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Wagoner. She resided in Mercer County for her entire lifetime. She was married to Alvin Murdock on October 28, 1887, near Marston; and was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. Will McKay of What Cheer, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Dyer of Buffalo, Iowa; Mrs. John Marple of New London, Iowa, Mrs. Thomas Long of Fairland, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Chris Younkers of Millston, Wisconsin. Also surviving are three brothers and three sisters, Mesdames Martha Carver, Lena Cooper and Fern Fuhr; and Lee, Will and George Wagoner.
