Shirley I. Bliss, 67, of Cushing Avenue, Johnsonburg, and recently of Pinecrest Manor, died Tuesday, at Penn Highlands in DuBois after a short illness.
She was born in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late Adam Verne and Esther (McAninch) Bliss.
She was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School and a member of Johnsonburg United Methodist Church. She volunteered at the Johnsonburg Senior Center for several years. She lived all her life in Johnsonburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Bliss.
A memorial service fwill be held Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Johnsonburg United Methodist Church with Reverend Daniel Reigel officiating.
Interment will be in Wardvale Methodist Cemetery, Johnsonburg.
There will be no visitation.
