Joan M. Murphy of Ogden, Pa passed away peacefully on Monday, April 27th. Joan was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Joan attended Holy Saviour School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan, PA. She worked as a nutrition supervisor at Hill Top Elementary School and Crozer-Chester Medical Center, retiring after over 20 years of service. We will miss her beautiful smile and her sparkling blue eyes.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Helena Redmond; Sisters, Kathleen Krieger, Helena French, Patricia Pazdalski; brothers, David and Michael Redmond. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Murphy; daughters, Kim Marie Gland(Spencer) and Patricia A. Valentine(Keith); Grandchildren, Matthew and Nicholas Gland and Cameron Valentine; Sisters, Margaret Reardon, Rosemary Lindsey; brother, John Redmond.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 4th at 10:30am at St. John Fisher Church in Boothwyn. Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30am-10:30am in church. Burial will follow in St. Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association , Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
