Mark A. Pekarske, age 57, of 2710 Clark Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

Mark was born on February 27, 1958 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Joan C. Gennrich Pekarske. Mark was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1976. He owned and operated Lakeshore Pro-Clean which he established in 1993. On September 3, 1994 he married Mary Ellen Dunn at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Mark enjoyed playing live music with several local bands, camping, listening to Beatle music, and following the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years: Mary Ellen; two daughters: Heidi Butz and her fiance’ John Gilbert, Manitowoc; Danielle Butz and special friend Kurt Peterman, Manitowoc; one granddaughter: Kara Gilbert; two brothers: Thomas S. (Kathleen) Pekarske, Cato; Matthew (Jeanne) Pekarske, Randolph; sister-in-law: Nancy Pekarske, Knowlton; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Gerald and Charlotte Dunn, Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Susan Harris, Manitowoc; brother-in-law: Steven Dunn, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Thomas J. and Joan Pekarske; one brother: Larry; one sister: Cheryl; two brothers-in-law.

A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for a memorial fund that is being established in Mark’s name.
