Funeral of Mrs. H. Backus
The body of Mrs. Harvey Backus, wife of ex-sheriff Backus, who died at Mayo Bros. hospital at Rochester, Minn., last Monday, arrived here yesterday for burial. The body was accompanied by Mr. Backus and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Madden, parents of the deceased. Mrs. Backus also leaves a son, Carl, and two brothers, Carl and Charles Madden. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the First Christian church. Services were conducted by Rev. F.L. Pettit and burial was made in Mount Hope cemetery.
