PIONEER CITYAN DIES AT TULSA
RITES WEDNESDAY

Mrs. Wallace Goree, 62, a member of a pioneer Holdenville family died at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in a Tulsa hospital following an illness of several months. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Francis church, 2500 E. 2nd St. Tulsa. The body will lie in state at a Sapulpa funeral home until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Sapulpa.

Mrs. Goree was a sister to Julis and Chris Polk and Mrs. Katie Ogle, all of Holdenville. Born June 4, 1889, Mrs. Goree moved to Holdenville in 1897 with her parents the late Mr. and Mrs. Calvin W. Polk. Mrs. Goree lived in Tulsa at the time of her death. Mrs. Goree's father, the late Calvin Warnell Polk was city marshall in Holdenville in 1900. Mr. Goree is a retired district superintendent of O G and E. Other survivors include her husband, Wallace Goree; and daughter Geridene of Tulsa; and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Turner of Oklahoma City and two grandchildren.
