Hazel Louise Alexander was the second wife of Ernest Lester Damon, whom she married April 10, 1937 in Williamsburg. Hazel Alexander Damon sold the old Isaac Gere/Lewis Bodman house at 6 North Street (moved earlier from North Main Street to make way for the Lyman D. and Helen E. (Field) James mansion) to Ken and Phyllis Beals in 1947. Phyllis was curator of the Williamsburg Historical Society's museum for many years. Hazel later married Frank E. Strong, librarian at Forbes Library and Dartmouth College.
