Service for Albert L. Baker will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012 At Cypress Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Park Cemetery on St. Vincent Avenue, Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be Monday, April 23, 2012 from 5-7 p.m at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA. Mr. Baker was born Oct. 13, 1923 to Albert and Freddie Baker in Opelika, Alabama. He along with four brothers and one sister were raised on a farm.His parents, five siblings and his first wife Pauline L. Baker preceded Al in death.

Al proudly served his country in the Pacific Theater in WWII as a sergeant in the Marine Corps. He was the owner of Baker and Sons Glass and Door Company in Shreveport for many years. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and was a loyal servant to his many friends. He was also an active member of Cypress Baptist Church.The family gives thanks to the angels of Willis-Knighton Hospice for their loving care. We give thanks to God for the life and love of Al Baker.
