Mrs. Gloria Wilkerson of Dagsboro, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, with her loved ones at her side.

Gloria was born in Frankford to the late Renat and Viola Hudson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred W. Wilkerson; a son, Fred W. Wilkerson; along with six brothers, Donald, Preston, David, Ralph, Joe and Thomas Lee Hudson; and four sisters, Grace Hudson Rogers, Hannah Hudson Howard, Dorothy Hudson Bacon and Mildred Hudson Temple.

Gloria was a homemaker who enjoyed going on car rides to visit her husband’s grave, birds, watching TV Land and Price is Right, ice cream, Pepsi, and cooking. She enjoyed the outdoors.

She had unconditional love for her kids and grandkids. She was known by her beautiful smile and kind heart. Everybody that knew her loved her and she will be truly missed. May your soul rest in peace Granny.

She married the loved of her life, Fred W. Wilkerson March 24, 1947, and shared 50 years with him. Together they had eight children. She leaves to cherish her memory, seven daughters, Ella Mae Reynolds, Diane G. Baker, Cathy Wilkerson, Linda L. Adrion, Faye L. Downs, Shirley H. Fisher, and Cora V. Thorton. She was loved by her nine grandchildren, Donnie Baker Jr., Chasity L. Baker Irvin, Eddie W. Baker, Robert Wilkerson, Raquel L. Jones, Billy J. Davis, Tina L. Jamerson, Danny Fisher, and Lisa Fisher. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and two on the way due in June and July, Donnie, Lily, Destiny, Kameryn, Bryan, Isaiah, Savanna, Nathan, Scarlett, Ciara, Diamond, Becky, Kimmy, Trevor, Jenna, Nicholas, Jasmine, Destinies, Allen, Kaylee and Kodie. She was also loved by the spouses of her grandchildren, Zach Jones, Theresa Baker, Jamie V. Manning Wilkerson, Jamie Jamerson, Bryan Irvin Jr., Tasha Church, Sandra Davis and Georgette Fisher. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank Season’s Hospice and a special thank you to Stephanie Merson for the wonderful care she gave to Mrs. Wilkerson.

A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, May 8, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.

Burial will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
