Jane was born September 17, 1943 at Coldwater, Mississippi; the daughter of Raymond Embrey and Murline Embrey Snider. She graduated in 1962 from Central High School in Memphis, Tennessee. She worked as a Pharmacy Technician at WalMart in Leavenworth for 13 years. She attended the Leavenworth Baptist Church. Jane married Thomas Mahon Jones on October 22, 1962; he survives at the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Marsha Jones Glatt, Spartanburg, South Carolina; one son, Thomas Michael Jones of Leavenworth; her mother, Murline Snider; two brothers, Gerald R. Embrey and William E. Embrey, both of Memphis, Tennessee; one sister, Caroline F. Berretta of Memphis, Tennessee; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 pm today at the Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, Kansas. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, May 4, 2001 at the Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, May 4, 2001 at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
