She was born on August 16, 1937 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Dewey and Nellie Barricks Fultz.
Vera was a homemaker, a graduate of Rowan County High School and a member of the Bluebank First Church of God.
She enjoyed helping customers in the quilt shop, canning, gardening, quilting, sewing, working in the yard, reading and playing corn hole but must of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Luke Clark, who passed away on February 16, 1993; seven brothers, Sam Chandler Fultz, Jackie Fultz, Plummer Fultz, Dewey "Bugs" Fultz, Jr., Johnny Franklin Fultz, Sr., Paul Edward Fultz, and Dewayne Fultz and six sisters, Alice Lee Clark, Medie Kidd, Nervil Berndt, Geneva Brown, Gladys Adkins and Sue Dienes Litton.
Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Hyatt McCarty (Tom) of Morehead; three sons, Rick Clark (Debbie) of Florida, Mike Clark (Marsha) of New Bern, North Carolina, and Rusty Clark (Christine) of Pollocksville, North Carolina; two brothers, Vernon Ray Fultz of Frankfort, Kentucky, and Jimmy Fultz of Morehead; one sister, May Fultz of Morehead; four grandsons, Michael Adam Clark, Jake Clark, Taylor Hyatt and Sumner McCarty; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 20, 2023 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Rev. Jeff Fannin officiating.
Casket Bearers will be Rusty Clark, Tom McCarty, Michael Adam Clark, Jake Clark, Taylor Hyatt, Sumner McCarty, Jim Dan Dillon, and Jeff Jones.
