Graveside services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Elmwood cemetery in Sycamore for Mrs. Hulda Stroberg, 76, former well known and esteemed resident of Sycamore, who died suddenly Thursday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Marion Gladbois in Berwyn.

The funeral rites were held earlier that afternoon at the Schubert Memorial Chapel in Berwyn.

Mrs. Stroberg was born in Sycamore August 19, 1880, the daughter of Andrew Peter Carlson and Anna Louise Carlson. She resided here until her marriage to George Stroberg, when they moved to Berwyn. He passed away in 1947.

She was a faithful member of the Congregational Church in Berwyn and was very devoted to her home and family. Her kindly traits of character won for her hosts of friends.

She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ruth Dagg of Culver City, Calif., Mrs. Gladbois of Berwyn, Mrs. Frances La Roche, Mrs. Joyce Johnson, Mrs. Marguerite Barrington of Chicago, and three sons, Leonard and George of Cicero and Wallace of St. Louis, Mo., also two sisters, Mrs. Ida Wallin of rural DeKalb and Mrs. Amanda Johnson of Sycamore and 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Theodore Carlson.
