JULIANA, BETTE
Of Ocean City, New Jersey, formerly of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, died on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, in Somers Point, New Jersey.
Bette was born in Moorestown, New Jersey and was the loving daughter of the late Esther and Joseph Sutton. She graduated from Moores -town High School and married her high school sweetheart, Jim, in 1947. As a young woman who had rarely even left her hometown, Bette could never have imagined where her life's journey would take her. An FBI assignment took Bette and Jim to New York City where their first two of eight children were born. After relocating to the Washington, D.C. area, she continued to devote herself to raising a family and being a successful homemaker. Bette was fortunate to have met Pesidents of the United States, religious leaders, entertainers and professional sports figures. Bette traveled extensively around the world where she experienced the finest restaurants, museums and cultures.
Bette was an extraordinary host on numerous occasions to family, friends and colleagues, all of whom were the beneficiaries of her incredible culinary finesse. She also took great pride in volunteering for worthy causes such as the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Christ Child Institute, National Symphony, USO and others. Bette's wonderful crafts and decorations are still being enjoyed by many.
Bette is survived by her loving husband Jim; 7 children, 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; two sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
We will celebrate her remarkable life on Monday, June 19, 2006, at the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, 42 West Main Street, Moores- town, New Jersey, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow immediately at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Funeral under the direction of McCHESNEY FUNERAL HOME, Moorestown, NJ.
