DAY - December 16th, suddenly of pneumonia, in London, the Rev. Edwin Day, M.A. of 180, Frant-road, Thornton Heath, aged 82.
****
Edwin Day was an Anglican minister, who for a time was rector at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Toronto, before too many sad memories from a succession of family tragedies lead him to return to his native England.
His daughter, Mary Eleanor Day, was accidentally shot to death by her youngest brother, another daughter, Amy Frances (Day) Raikes, committed suicide by throwing herself into a partially frozen Lake Simcoe, and his son, Walter Henry Horatio Day/Kendall (he'd been adopted by his mother's sister) went missing in the mountains north of Vancouver, where he had a quarry.
His descendants today are in Canada, the United States, and South Africa.
