Marion E. Simmet, age 90, of 5233 Cedar Lane, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on February 27, 1924 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Fred and Mae (Prausa) Teteak.
Marion was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1942. On September 27, 1947 she married Richard Simmet at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2007. Marion was employed as a secretary at Invincible Metal Furniture, Manitowoc, for many years.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Thomas Graykowski, Whitelaw; four grandchildren: Scott Graykowski, Whitelaw, Sara (Kevin) McClain, Atlanta, GA, Miki and Jim Paulsrud, West Bend, Shanna Graykowski, Manitowoc; one great grandchild: Zoey Isabella Paulsrud; and a brother: Gerald Teteak, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard; a son: James; her mother and father: Mae and Fred Teteak; two brothers: Carlton Teteak and Charles Teteak; sisters-in-law; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Meta and George Simmet.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton, from 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 until 10:45 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
