Mrs. Barney E. (Bunny) Walzel, 48, of 9027 Braeburn Valley Dr., Houston, died August 3, of a heart attack in Galveston County Memorial Hospital, LaMarque.

Born in Lake Charles, LA, Mrs. Walzel was a resident of Houston for 30 years. She was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church, Lansford Chapter Eastern Star, and a graduate of Memorial Baptist School of Nursing.

Survivors include her husband, Barney; a daughter, Mrs. Cherryl Miller of Dallas; sons, Bobby and Johnny Walzel of Houston; mother, Etti Morris, Lake Charles, LA; sisters, Mrs. Russell R. Duvall, Pasadena and Mrs. James M. Stewart, Lake Charles, LA; and brother, Col. Harry G. Morris, Jonesboro, Ark.

The funeral was held August 4 at 3 p.m. at the George H. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home on Sage Road with burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Rev. Jerry Autrey officiated.

She and her husband belonged to the Fort Bend Country Club, and Mr. Walzel was a native of Beasley.
